This free four day workshop offers theatre training for young people aged 14-24 years. Suitable for all levels of experience, it will be led by professional tutors from the Massive teaching team. You will learn theatre foundation skills and techniques, and explore different ways of making theatre pieces using your own ideas and stories. The workshop runs from 10am to 4pm each day.

TUTORS: Wesley Dowdell and Dominic Ona-Ariki

Wesley Dowdell joined Massive Company at the age of 17, going on to perform in many productions including ‘Sons of Charlie Paora,’ ‘100 Cousins’ and ‘My Bed My Universe.’ In 2007 a guest turn playing a gormless tow truck driver on ‘Outrageous Fortune’ blossomed into an ongoing role. In 2014 he got behind the drumkit - playing Knuckles in comedy series ‘Coverband.’ Wes is a tutor on our Foundations workshop programme and for Massive Nui Ensemble.

Dominic Ona-Ariki joined Massive in 2006 as an actor in ‘Up Close Out Loud,’ and has since performed in ‘My Bed My Universe’ and ‘The Brave.’ He is currently a tutor working on our workshop programmes and with Massive Nui Ensemble, and is training as a director in Massive’s ‘The Director’s Lab.’
