This free two day workshop offers theatre training for young people aged 14-24 years. Suitable for all levels of experience, it will be led by professional tutors from the Massive teaching team. You will learn theatre foundation skills and techniques, and explore different ways of making theatre pieces using your own ideas and stories. The workshop runs from 10am to 4pm each day.

Scotty Cotter and Dominic Ona-Ariki


Scotty Cotter has been part of Massive since 2006 as an actor, tutor and director. In 2008 he was an international delegate to youth theatre festival ‘Contacting the World’ in Liverpool, representing Massive. Scotty has performed in many Massive shows, including ‘Havoc in the Garden’ and ‘The Brave.’ In 2015 he took part in the Director’s Lab, going on to co-direct ‘The Wholehearted’ and emerging artists’ show ‘Chance to Ignite.’

Dominic Ona-Ariki joined Massive in 2006 as an actor in ‘Up Close Out Loud,’ and has since performed in ‘My Bed My Universe’ and ‘The Brave.’ He is currently a tutor working with Massive Nui Ensemble, and is training as a director in Massive’s ‘The Director’s Lab.’
