MASSIVE NUI ENSEMBLE

The heart of the company

Massive Nui Ensemble is a free ongoing development programme for committed young creatives aged 16-30. MNE is a term-based programme for members to continue learning, developing and exploring as an actor and theatre maker.

Play is at the forefront of everything, alongside rigour to work to our edges and discover all that allows. You will develop your skills, expertise, capability and create theatre through many different Massive processes.

MNE mentors include some of Aotearoa’s most experienced and curious arts practitioners, including Ali Bruce, Beulah Koale, Denyce Su’a, Dominic Ona-Ariki, Margaret Mary Hollins, Miriama McDowell, Sam Scott and Wesley Dowdell. They want to find the beautiful complicité that exists between actors, work physically and with words. MNE explores what is possible and encourages everyone to be their excellent and most wonderful self on stage. This can lead to other pathways within Massive and the wider industry.
