Radical and rambunctious, explosive and gritty, Heart go... BOOM! is a devised physical theatre production that champions brave and inventive storytelling interwoven with spoken word, movement, and compelling design.
Reflecting the diversity and passion in the world around them, the cast’s own experiences inspired this devised production which introduces five electric actors capturing the spirit of youthfulness through heart-felt physicality.

Heart Go… BOOM! is an absolute delight. The performances, the story, the lighting design, costuming, and the set design are the most cohesive in recent memory. It is refreshing to see a production use a restricted number of media and stylistic choices, but utilise them to the fullest extent. The creative team have done a fantastic job of producing a play where all the constituent elements work in harmony.
Ben Shand-Clennell (Theatre Scenes)
Heart go… BOOM! is a cluster of talented artists coming together to deliver something truly heartfelt and honest. There was a sharp sense of truth that emanated from the performers, washing over the audience. It takes a lot of courage to be vulnerable in front of a hundred people and a lot of energy to open your heart to them every night. Even with the heavy topics, Heart go… BOOM! ties it up with a calming, positive outlook.
Leaving the theatre after Heart go… BOOM! makes you feel calmer about the world around you, and more appreciative of the people next you.
Tasman Clark (Rat World)
"Heart go…BOOM! made me feel so good. What a balm to the end of the working day and it just filled me with joy and made me feel like the world is a great place."
"It was refreshing, exciting, lovely and all the kinds of qualities you want to see in a show."
"This show is so smart and so slick. It doesn’t feel like an emerging artist show at all. The level of craft in this show is just on. I am probably going to go home tonight and keep thinking about it, and probably will wake up tomorrow thinking about it. I am coming back again!"
