HOME MADE

Where does your heart keep landing?

HOME MADE is a love letter to the places and people we call home. Made up of the moments and memories that form us, Massive Theatre Company's new and original production explores all of the wonderfully loud moments that create a life and the soft moments that make it worth living.

At its heart are five artists, each one with their own answer to what home looks, sounds, and feels like. Playful and heartfelt, the cast contemplate: Where does your heart live, and who does it call home?

A NEW AND ORIGINAL EMERGING ARTISTS PRODUCTION

HOME MADE premieres in Tāmaki Makaurau before heading north to Whangārei. This is Massive’s return to the stage following 2024’s acclaimed emerging artists production Te Ao Hou.

HOME MADE is presented in partnership with Te Pou Theatre and ONEONESIX, with support form Creative New Zealand, Foundation North and Auckland Council.

What People Say

About Massive's Emerging Artists Productions

...an outstanding piece of devising – cohesive, clearly collaborative, rich in content, and swamped in manaaki – a compassion that is generously shared with an appreciative audience.

Lexie Matheson (Theatreview) review of Te Ao Hou 2024

The performances, the story, the lighting design, costuming, and the set design are the most cohesive in recent memory. It is refreshing to see a production use a restricted number of media and stylistic choices, but utilise them to the fullest extent. The creative team have done a fantastic job of producing a play where all the constituent elements work in harmony.

Ben Shand-Clennell (TheatreScenes) review of Heart Go...BOOM! 2023

This show is so smart and so slick. It doesn’t feel like an emerging artist show at all. The level of craft in this show is just on. I am probably going to go home tonight and keep thinking about it, and probably will wake up tomorrow thinking about it. I am coming back again!
